DESCRIPTION:Future Career Academy will be bringing 150 high school students from the local East Tampa area high schools to learn more about FDOT District 7 jobs and careers in maintenance and construction.  There will be three one-hour sessions.   Each one-hour session will bring up to 50 students during the following time slots: \n\n\n\n\n9:15 am – 10:15 am\n\n\n\n10:35 am – 11:35 am\n\n\n\n1:40 pm – 2:40 pm\n\n\n\n\nThis is a unique opportunity to captivate a targeted audience of young adults who are actively seeking their next career steps.

DESCRIPTION:The Florida Department of Corrections\, Circuit 13\, invites you to participate in our Re-Entry Job and Resource Fair to be held from 10am to 2pm on February 5\, 2025\, at The Trammell Building located at 1313 N. Tampa Street\, Room 605\, Tampa\, Fl. 33602. \n\n\n\nOur goal is to provide employment opportunities and resources to individuals under FDC supervision as well as to connect your business with potential candidates. Steady employment is vital to the success of these motivated men and women. Their ability to work and become self-sufficient once again is key to lowering the rate of recidivism\, thereby creating a safer community for all of us. Our hope is to connect those under our supervision with employers willing to provide them with a second chance to be successful\, productive members of society. \n\n\n\nIt is also our goal that many will leave this event having secured steady employment or been offered an interview\, thereby giving them a sense of accomplishment and a more positive outlook.Many employers are now realizing that hiring offenders has its merits.
